About TORO

We write our dreams down, so they come to life.

To look back on the injustices of the past and fight those of the present through art is not enough. We exist to envision a new world, where progress does not just mean walls broken, but bridges built.

Our mission is to platform, and preserve, written works by Southern Africans that look to the future with hope and will in their hearts, and challenge protest art with imaginative, speculative works. We hope to create and push the boundaries of what creativity is and can be, through practice, collective effort and consistent evolution.

TORO YA RONA

The floor is always open to submissions and new avenues of thought. This is a publication that will forever be a work in progress, to inspire new ways of looking at and creating art. We do not work to deconstruct, but seek to look to the future while preserving all that is beautiful and true about the culture.
